Privacy Policy

Last updated 30 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how JobMaxxer (“JobMaxxer”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information when you use our website, Chrome extension, AI application tools, overlay features and related services together referred to as the “Services”.

JobMaxxer is an AI tool for job applications. It helps students, recent graduates and job seekers complete applications faster by reading questions on job application portals and drafting recruiter-ready answers based on your CV, experience, education and preferred writing style.

This Privacy Policy applies when you:

  • visit the JobMaxxer website;
  • install or use the JobMaxxer Chrome extension;
  • create or sign in to a JobMaxxer account;
  • upload or provide your CV, resume, cover letter or career information;
  • use JobMaxxer to generate application answers;
  • use JobMaxxer on application portals such as Workday, LinkedIn Easy Apply, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, Taleo, SuccessFactors, Ashby or similar sites;
  • use the overlay feature for screen-based or video-style application questions;
  • contact us for support, feedback or product updates.

JobMaxxer is not affiliated with Workday, LinkedIn, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, Taleo, SuccessFactors, Ashby or any other job application portal mentioned on our website or in our product.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use JobMaxxer.

For privacy questions, contact us at: jobmaxxr@gmail.com

1. Who is JobMaxxer for?

JobMaxxer is built for students and recent graduates applying to entry-level roles and graduate schemes, especially anyone dealing with repetitive competency, motivational and situational questions across job application platforms.

The product is designed to help users draft stronger answers faster, while keeping the user in control. JobMaxxer does not submit applications for you, make hiring decisions or guarantee interviews or job offers.

2. What information do we collect?

We collect information you provide directly to us, information processed through the JobMaxxer Chrome extension and information collected automatically when you use our Services.

2.1 Information you provide to us

We may collect the following information when you create an account, use JobMaxxer or contact us:

  • name;
  • email address;
  • login or account details;
  • CV, resume or cover letter content;
  • education history;
  • work experience;
  • skills, achievements and awards;
  • job preferences;
  • career goals;
  • application questions you ask JobMaxxer to answer;
  • job descriptions or role details you provide;
  • generated answers;
  • answers you edit, regenerate or insert;
  • feedback, support messages or enquiries;
  • billing information if we offer paid plans in the future.

2.2 CV and career information

JobMaxxer uses your real experience to generate application answers that are specific and believable.

When you upload a CV, resume or similar document, JobMaxxer may parse it into structured career data. This may include your education, work experience, skills, achievements, projects, awards, certifications and job preferences.

The raw CV file can be discarded after parsing, while the structured data needed to provide the Services may be stored in your account unless you delete it. This helps JobMaxxer generate personalised answers without needing to keep the original file longer than necessary.

You can delete your data at any time where one-click data deletion is available, or by contacting us using the details in this policy.

2.3 Information processed by the Chrome extension

The JobMaxxer Chrome extension is designed to work inside job application pages. When you use the extension, it may process relevant page content such as:

  • application questions;
  • answer fields;
  • word limits;
  • job titles;
  • employer names;
  • job descriptions;
  • assessment prompts;
  • multiple-choice options;
  • screen-based questions;
  • draft answers inside the text box;
  • information needed to insert your generated answer into the application field.

The extension is designed for one main purpose: helping you draft, improve and insert job application answers.

We do not intentionally collect unrelated browsing activity, private messages, banking information, passwords, payment card details or unrelated page content.

2.4 Overlay and screen-reading feature

JobMaxxer may include an overlay feature for video questions, assessment pages or screens that are not normal text boxes.

When you use the overlay, JobMaxxer may process visible on-screen text needed to understand the question and suggest what to say. This may include scenario questions, answer options, video interview prompts or application instructions.

You should only use the overlay on job application, assessment or interview-related pages. You should avoid using it on pages containing unrelated private or confidential information.

2.5 Information collected automatically

When you use our website or Services, we may automatically collect limited technical and usage information, such as:

  • IP address;
  • browser type;
  • device type;
  • operating system;
  • language settings;
  • approximate location based on IP address;
  • pages viewed;
  • features used;
  • extension version;
  • date and time of activity;
  • error logs;
  • crash reports;
  • performance data;
  • security logs.

We use this information to keep JobMaxxer secure, fix bugs, understand how the product is used and improve the user experience.

3. Do we collect sensitive information?

Job applications can sometimes include sensitive information. For example, your CV or application answers may include details about health, disability, ethnicity, immigration status, visa sponsorship, financial circumstances, student status or other protected information.

JobMaxxer does not require you to provide sensitive information unless it is needed for the feature or answer you choose to create. If you include sensitive information in your CV, application question or answer, we may process it only to provide the Services, generate your response, support your request or comply with legal obligations.

You should avoid uploading or entering sensitive information unless you are comfortable with JobMaxxer processing it for the purpose of helping with your application.

4. How do we use your information?

We use your information to provide and improve JobMaxxer.

This includes using your information to:

  • create and manage your account;
  • let you sign in and use the Services;
  • read application questions;
  • understand what recruiters are asking for;
  • generate recruiter-ready answers;
  • tailor answers to your CV, education and experience;
  • help with competency, motivation, situational and strengths-based questions;
  • help with video or screen-based application questions;
  • regenerate alternative answers;
  • insert answers into application fields when you choose to use the insert feature;
  • save product preferences;
  • provide customer support;
  • fix bugs and improve performance;
  • monitor security and prevent misuse;
  • send service updates;
  • send marketing communications where permitted;
  • comply with legal obligations;
  • protect our rights and enforce our terms.

JobMaxxer does not make hiring decisions. It produces draft content for you to review, edit and decide whether to use.

5. AI features and server-side generation

JobMaxxer uses artificial intelligence to help users complete job applications faster.

AI features may include:

  • reading and understanding application questions;
  • identifying the type of question being asked;
  • drafting answers from your CV or structured career profile;
  • regenerating alternative answers;
  • checking answer structure and word limits;
  • suggesting what to say for screen-based or video-style questions;
  • helping answers sound specific, natural and less generic.

AI generation runs server-side. This means private API keys are not shipped inside the Chrome extension. Instead, relevant information is securely sent to JobMaxxer’s servers, where the answer is generated and returned to you inside the application page.

To provide AI features, we may process:

  • the application question;
  • the job title or job description;
  • your CV or structured career profile;
  • your work experience, education, skills and achievements;
  • your preferred answer style;
  • the draft answer you are working on;
  • visible screen text when you use the overlay feature.

We aim to process only the information needed for the feature you are using.

AI-generated answers may not always be accurate, complete or appropriate. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any answer before submitting it to an employer or job platform.

6. Chrome extension data and limited use

JobMaxxer’s Chrome extension is designed to use browser and page data only for its user-facing job application features.

Where applicable, JobMaxxer’s use of information received from Chrome extension permissions will follow Chrome Web Store requirements, including Limited Use principles.

This means we use extension data to:

  • detect application questions;
  • read relevant job application page content;
  • draft answers;
  • insert answers when you choose to do so;
  • operate the overlay feature;
  • keep the extension secure and functional;
  • improve the reliability of the product.

We do not sell Chrome extension data. We do not use Chrome extension data for unrelated advertising, credit decisions, insurance decisions, employment decisions or other purposes unrelated to JobMaxxer’s application-assistance features.

7. Do we share your information?

We may share personal information with trusted service providers who help us operate JobMaxxer.

These may include:

  • cloud hosting providers;
  • database and storage providers;
  • AI service providers;
  • authentication providers;
  • analytics providers;
  • error monitoring tools;
  • customer support tools;
  • email and communication tools;
  • payment processors if paid plans are offered;
  • security and fraud prevention tools;
  • legal, accounting or professional advisers.

These providers may only process your information for the purposes we instruct, unless they act as independent controllers under their own legal obligations.

We may also share information:

  • if required by law;
  • to respond to lawful requests from courts, regulators or public authorities;
  • to protect JobMaxxer, our users or the public;
  • to investigate fraud, abuse or security issues;
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale, financing or business transfer;
  • where you give us permission.

We do not share your CV or generated application answers with employers unless you choose to insert or submit that information through a job portal yourself.

8. Third-party job portals

JobMaxxer works on or alongside third-party job application platforms.

When you use JobMaxxer on a job portal, JobMaxxer may read the application question or relevant page content so it can generate an answer. If you click “Insert”, JobMaxxer places the generated answer into the application field.

If you then submit the application, the employer or job platform will receive that information under their own privacy policy. JobMaxxer does not control how employers, recruiters or job portals process your submitted application.

You should review the privacy policy of each employer or application platform before submitting an application.

9. Payment information

JobMaxxer may offer free access and may not require a credit card for initial use.

If we offer paid plans, subscriptions or premium features, payment information may be processed by a third-party payment provider such as [Stripe / Paddle / other provider].

We do not intend to store full payment card numbers on our own systems. Payment providers process payment information under their own privacy policies.

10. Cookies and similar technologies

14. How long do we keep your information?

We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide JobMaxxer, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, resolve disputes and improve the Services.

As a general guide:

  • account information is kept while your account is active;
  • structured CV and career profile data is kept while your account is active unless you delete it;
  • the raw CV file can be discarded after parsing where possible;
