Data Deletion Policy

Last updated 30 June 2026

This Data Deletion Policy explains how users can delete personal information and account data from JobMaxxer.

JobMaxxer is an AI tool for job applications. It helps users complete applications faster by reading application questions on job portals and drafting recruiter-ready answers based on their CV, experience, education and preferred writing style.

Because JobMaxxer may process personal career information, including CVs, structured career profiles, application questions and generated answers, we give users control over deleting their data.

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

JobMaxxer is based in Manchester, United Kingdom.

Legal entity: JobMaxxer

1. What data can you delete?

You can request deletion of personal information connected to your JobMaxxer account.

This may include:

  • your account details;
  • your name and email address;
  • your uploaded CV, resume or cover letter;
  • structured career data created from your CV;
  • education history;
  • work experience;
  • skills, achievements and awards;
  • job preferences;
  • saved application answers;
  • generated answers;
  • answer history, where this is stored;
  • application questions you have asked JobMaxxer to answer;
  • job descriptions or role details you have provided;
  • support messages linked to your account;
  • Chrome extension data linked to your account, where stored on our systems.

2. CV deletion

When you upload a CV or resume to JobMaxxer, it may be parsed into structured career data so JobMaxxer can generate answers that are more specific to your real experience.

Where possible, the raw CV file can be discarded after parsing.

If you delete your CV data, we will delete the structured career data connected to your account, unless we are required to keep limited information for legal, security, fraud prevention, billing or dispute-resolution reasons.

3. Generated answers and application data

JobMaxxer may generate draft answers based on your CV, career profile, application question, job description or other information you provide.

If answer history or saved answers are stored in your account, you can request deletion of this information.

This may include:

  • draft answers;
  • regenerated answers;
  • inserted answers;
  • saved answers;
  • application questions;
  • job descriptions;
  • role titles;
  • employer names, where stored;
  • overlay-related prompts, where stored.

JobMaxxer does not control any application content you submit directly to an employer, recruiter or third-party job platform. If you submit an answer through a job portal, you will need to contact that employer or platform directly to request deletion from their systems.

4. Chrome extension data

The JobMaxxer Chrome extension may process relevant page content so it can help you draft or insert application answers.

This may include:

  • application questions;
  • answer boxes;
  • word limits;
  • job descriptions;
  • employer names;
  • role titles;
  • assessment prompts;
  • visible screen text when the overlay feature is used.

Where this data is stored on JobMaxxer’s systems and linked to your account, you can request deletion.

Some extension-related data may also be stored locally in your browser. To remove local extension data, you may need to:

  • log out of JobMaxxer;
  • clear the extension’s local data, if the option is available;
  • remove the JobMaxxer Chrome extension from your browser;
  • clear relevant browser storage or cache through your browser settings.

Uninstalling the Chrome extension may remove local browser data, but it may not automatically delete account data stored on JobMaxxer’s servers. To delete server-side account data, use the deletion tools in your account or contact us using the details below.

5. How to delete your data

Where available, you can delete your data directly through one-click deletion inside your JobMaxxer account.

You may be able to do this by going to:

  • what you want deleted;
  • whether you want to delete specific data or your full account;
  • any details that help us verify your identity.

6. Full account deletion

If you request full account deletion, we will take steps to delete or anonymise personal information linked to your JobMaxxer account.

This may include:

  • account details;
  • CV and structured career data;
  • saved application answers;
  • stored generated answers;
  • stored job descriptions or application questions;
  • usage data linked directly to your account;
  • support records linked to your account, where deletion is possible.

After full account deletion, you may lose access to:

  • your JobMaxxer account;
  • saved answers;
  • CV-based personalisation;
  • subscription features;
  • usage history;
  • career profile data;
  • any remaining credits, limits or plan access.

7. How long does deletion take?

We aim to respond to deletion requests as soon as reasonably possible.

Where applicable data protection law requires a specific timeframe, we will respond within that timeframe. For UK users, we aim to respond to valid deletion requests within one month.

We may ask for additional information to verify your identity before completing a deletion request. This helps protect your account from unauthorised deletion.

8. Backups and technical copies

When data is deleted from active systems, it may still remain in encrypted backups or technical logs for a limited period.

Where this happens, we will not use the backup data for normal business purposes. Backup data will be kept only until it is overwritten or deleted according to our backup schedule, unless we need to keep it for legal, security or fraud prevention reasons.

9. Data we may need to keep

In some cases, we may not be able to delete all information immediately.

We may need to keep limited information where necessary for:

  • legal obligations;
  • tax or accounting records;
  • billing or payment records;
  • fraud prevention;
  • security monitoring;
  • abuse prevention;
  • dispute resolution;
  • enforcing our Terms and Conditions;
  • protecting JobMaxxer, our users or third parties;
  • responding to legal requests or regulatory requirements.

Where we need to keep limited information, we will only keep what is necessary and only for as long as required.

10. Third-party service providers

JobMaxxer may use trusted third-party providers to operate the Services, such as cloud hosting providers, AI service providers, analytics tools, authentication providers, payment processors, customer support tools and security tools.

Where required and reasonably possible, if we delete your personal data from our systems, we will also take steps to delete or restrict the same data with relevant service providers.

Some third-party providers may need to retain limited information for their own legal, security or operational reasons.

11. Data submitted to employers or job platforms

JobMaxxer may help you insert generated answers into application forms on third-party job portals.

Once you submit an application to an employer, recruiter or job platform, that third party controls the information you submitted.

JobMaxxer cannot delete data from third-party job platforms, employers, recruiters or external application systems.

To delete data from those platforms, you should contact the relevant employer, recruiter or job platform directly.

12. Limited Use and Chrome extension data

JobMaxxer’s use of Chrome extension data is limited to providing and improving the product’s job application features.

We do not sell Chrome extension data.

We do not use Chrome extension data for unrelated advertising, credit decisions, insurance decisions, employment decisions or purposes unrelated to JobMaxxer’s application-assistance features.

Where applicable, JobMaxxer’s use of information received from Chrome extension permissions will follow the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

13. Deleting marketing communications

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us at:

jobmaxxr@gmail.com

If you unsubscribe from marketing, we may still keep limited information to make sure we do not send you further marketing messages.

We may also still send important service-related emails, such as account, security, billing or legal notices.

14. Deleting payment information

If JobMaxxer offers paid plans or subscriptions, payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider.

JobMaxxer does not intend to store full payment card numbers on its own systems.

If you want to delete or update payment information, you may need to do this through your account billing settings or through the relevant payment provider.

We may keep limited billing records where required for tax, accounting, legal or fraud prevention purposes.

15. Requesting access before deletion

If you want a copy of your personal information before deleting your account, you can request access by contacting us at:

jobmaxxr@gmail.com

Please make this request before asking us to delete your account, as deletion may remove information that we cannot later recover.

16. Refusing or limiting a deletion request

In some circumstances, we may refuse or limit a deletion request where the law allows or requires us to do so.

This may happen where we need the information to:

  • comply with a legal obligation;
  • establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
  • complete a transaction or provide a service you requested;
  • detect security incidents;
  • prevent fraud or abuse;
  • protect the rights and safety of users or others;
  • keep records required by tax, accounting or consumer protection laws.

If we cannot fully complete your deletion request, we will explain why where required by law.
